BACK HOME AT MORVICH

We arrived back to lovely sunny Morvich at 15.57 to a fantastic welcome by friends, family, a piper, cake and champagne.
1200 miles of cycling in 3 days 22 hours and 57 minutes is quite an achievement by the cyclists but would not have been possible without the commitment of the organisers and partiularliy the support team of Shiela, Howard, Frank and Mike who did an incredible job, thanks guys!
Lets hope that this is the first of many successful fund raising events that will contribute towards the "New HQ appeal".

Roll on tomorrow. A BIG Thank You to all who have shown their support and to our sponsors. See below.

What it's all about

Kintail Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) is a registered charity organisation made up by a team of dedicated unpaid volunteers.

We are based at Morvich in part of an old croft house and garage. Despite our best efforts this building is becoming impossible to maintain and as outdoor recreations increase in our area our facilities are becoming more inadequate.

KMRT are trying to raise money to build a purpose built base which will house facilities able to cope with future demands.

To this end we are hosting a series of fundraising events, the first of which members of the team will attempt to cycle from our base at Morvich to tour the four cardinal points of mainland Scotland in a continuous relay going to Dunnet Head in the north, Peterhead to the east, the Mull of Galloway to the south and Ardnamurchan to the west before ending back at Morvich while passing through many of Scotland's towns and cities along the way, covering around 1,200 miles and seeing an overall height gain topping 32,000 feet.
We hope you can follow us along our journey and any donations, greatfully received, can be made through paypal via our website http://www.kintailmrt.org.uk/
Many thanks
